How JAGfx-EA V2 works

The EA is designed for 4-hour and higher timeframes; it can run on lower timeframes but those need testing by you. It waits for Bollinger Bands or QQE Adv (together with the QMP Filter) to define an entry zone, then opens and manages a sequence of trades (DCA). As price moves in your favour, it can move stops to breakeven, then to breakeven plus a buffer (risk reduction). You can cap session profit, limit new trades by time or session, and use a trailing stop or take-profit on the whole sequence. So you get structured entries, controlled size, and defined risk reduction instead of set-and-forget with no plan.

Structured DCA with clear rules

What is DCA in this EA?

The EA adds positions in a sequence when your chosen rules are met (Bollinger Bands, QQE, QMP, time, session). So DCA is rule-based, not random — entries tend to occur at statistically relevant levels where reversals or continuations are more likely.

Run multiple sequences per direction, limit it to one, or use the matched signal feature to only add to a position when the initial entry criteria is met.

Risk reduction, not set-and-forget

Breakeven and risk-reduction logic move the trade toward risk-off as targets are approached. You get structured entries, controlled size, and defined risk reduction. The EA is designed for 4H and higher; backtest in the Strategy Tester to verify behaviour on your chosen timeframe — other timeframes need testing by you.

The EA uses Bollinger Bands or QQE Adv, together with the QMP Filter — custom technical logic built for clarity and control.

Technical Indicators

Bollinger Bands

Volatility bands that define price channels; the EA can use band touches to time entries and define entry zones.

QMP Filter

Custom indicator that activates trade signals with red and blue dots on the price chart. Used together with Bollinger Bands or QQE Adv.

MACD Platinum

Zero lag MACD indicator for enhanced signal accuracy and reduced false signals

QQE Adv

Modified RSI momentum oscillator that determines overbought/oversold levels for trade entry. Used with the QMP Filter (either BB or QQE Adv, with QMP).

How the EA Works

1

Entry zone

The EA waits for Bollinger Bands or QQE Adv (with the QMP Filter) to define an entry zone — so adds occur at statistically relevant levels.

2

Sequence (DCA)

A sequence of trades is opened and managed. New positions are added only when your chosen rules (Bollinger Bands or QQE Adv, QMP Filter, time, session) are met.

3

Breakeven & risk reduction

As price moves in your favour, stops can move to breakeven, then to breakeven plus a buffer, so open risk is cut down as the trade develops.

4

Exit

The sequence closes when your exit criteria are met: QQE centre, opposite/centre band, hard target, trailing stop, or a combination. You can also cap session profit.

Risk controls & exits

Risk management options

  • • Limit number of trades in a sequence
  • • Sequence control: limit to one per direction or use matched signal
  • • Max trades before risk reduction kicks in
  • • Specific trading times and sessions
  • • Cap session profit (end-of-day protection)

Exit options

  • • QQE centre / opposite or centre band
  • • Fixed take-profit on sequence
  • • Trailing stop
  • • Breakeven + buffer (risk reduction)
  • • Combination of criteria
