How the JAGfx DCA EA Works
The MT5 JAGfx DCA Expert Advisor automates a proven dollar cost averaging strategy, eliminating the need for constant chart monitoring and manual trade management.
Dollar Cost Averaging Strategy
What is DCA Trading?
Dollar cost averaging (DCA) is a higher risk strategy where you add to an overall trade position as price goes against you. This is based on the principle of 'reversion to the mean' - if price has over-extended in one direction, it will eventually return to a midpoint.
Think of it like a rubber band being stretched - the further it's stretched, the more it wants to return to its natural state. The same applies to price movements.
Why This EA?
This EA covers all aspects of DCA trading: entry criteria, trade additions, and trade management. It provides many options for each criterion, giving you complete control over your trading strategy.
The EA uses custom technical indicators not freely available on MT5, providing you with advanced trading capabilities.
Technical Indicators
QMP Filter
Custom indicator that activates trade signals with red and blue dots on the price chart
MACD Platinum
Zero lag MACD indicator for enhanced signal accuracy and reduced false signals
QQE Adv
Modified RSI momentum oscillator that determines overbought/oversold levels for trade entry
How the EA Works
Signal Detection
The EA monitors QQE Adv for overbought/oversold levels. When these levels are reached, the EA starts looking for trade setups.
Trade Activation
QMP Filter dots (red & blue) on the price chart activate the trades. The EA uses custom technical indicators not available as default on MT5.
Position Management
If further trades are needed, the unique trade multiplier determines the required trade size according to your settings.
Exit Strategy
Trades are closed when predetermined exit criteria are met: QQE Adv 50 level, hard target, trailing stop, or combination of these.
